This page explains how to delete your data from the HB9V Radioamateurs mobile app (iPhone and Android), published by the Club Radioamateur Suisse. The app does not create any account, so there is no account to close and no password to provide.
How to request deletion
- Disable alerts. In the app, open Settings, then Notifications, and switch off “Receive alerts”. Your subscription is immediately deleted from our server.
- Uninstall the app. Your logbook, callsign, QTH and settings are stored only on your phone. They disappear with the app.
- For any other request, write to us via the contact page, with the subject “Deletion of my data” and your callsign if you entered it in the app. We delete the data concerned and confirm this to you within 30 days.
Data deleted and retention periods
- Logbook, callsign, QTH and settings (on your phone): deleted when you uninstall the app. We hold no copy of them.
- Alert subscription (anonymous notification token, device type, position rounded to about one kilometre, callsign if entered, chosen alerts, language): deleted immediately when you disable alerts, or on request.
- Rounded position sent for weather and widgets: used for the calculation and then discarded. It only appears in the technical logs below.
- Server technical logs (IP address, requested address, date): deleted automatically after 14 days.
- Error reports (error message, app version, phone operating system, no personal data): deleted automatically after 14 days.
- Encrypted backup copies of the server, kept in Switzerland at Infomaniak: replaced day by day and deleted after 6 months at the latest. They are used only to restore the server in the event of a failure.
No other data is kept. No account, no advertising, no camera images, no reselling.
