📡 Welcome to the Radio Amateurs of Canton Vaud club
It is with great pleasure and pride that we launch the website and official blog of the Radio Amateurs of Canton Vaud club, a brand-new community devoted to a passion for the airwaves and radio communication. Whether you are a seasoned radio amateur, someone curious to discover this fascinating world, or simply interested in communication technologies: our website and this blog are for you.
🎯 Our mission
The Radio Amateurs of Canton Vaud club was born of a shared wish: to create a space for exchange, learning and sharing around amateur radio in our beautiful Vaud region.
💡 Our philosophy: Amateur radio is much more than just a technical pastime; it is a passion that brings people together, connects them across borders, and lets you develop valuable skills while having fun.
🛰 An ambitious infrastructure project
In our drive to make communications easier for all radio amateurs in the region, we are proud to announce that a major project is under way: the installation of a Yaesu C4FM repeater in the lowlands. This repeater, built around the latest-generation Yaesu DR-2X, represents a significant step forward for our community.
📡 Yaesu DR-2X repeater, System Fusion C4FM
In particular, this infrastructure will give people who cannot reach the repeaters located at altitude optimal coverage in the lowlands. Thanks to Yaesu's C4FM (System Fusion) technology, you will enjoy exceptional digital audio quality and advanced features. The DR-2X is compatible with both analogue and digital modes, ensuring a smooth transition for all users, whatever their equipment.
This repeater will become a technical meeting point for our members and the whole Vaud amateur radio community, strengthening opportunities for communication and experimentation.
✅ Project updates: We will of course keep you informed of the progress of this exciting project!
